For a better userinteraction with the app, the developer has to know how to use an AppleWatch before making a working app for it.
Expectations¶
Expectations were realy high for the Apple Watch because it is an Apple product, looks like quality and has already many users.
Reality¶
The reality with wearing an Apple watch, was that is didn’t meet the expectations.
Pros¶
Tells you to stand, rest and excersice on specific moments.
Cons¶
Doesn’t realy add more funcitonality to your life. Your phone has already all the functions of your apple watch.

How do blind people use the Apple Watch¶
Having an Apple watch could be helpful for a blind person. Having your watch connected to an App would be even more helpfull.
Pros for blind people¶
- Haptic feedback with vibrations that could indicate the time (for in meetings, or at night in bed)
- quick voice-over for received messages
- Can give quick feedback for directions (haptic or audio)
- Easy acces to Siri without touching your phone
- Easy to find other Apple devices when you ask Siri where they are
Cons for blind people¶
- It has to be charged more often (Navigation & haptic feedback take more energy)
- VoiceOver is a bit slower than actualy seeing the screen
- Putting it on with the regular band can be a bit of a struggle
Can Shortcuts on the Watch be helpful?¶
As a visual impaired person, you sometimes like to actualy see the screen. Enabeling certain functions like voiceOver, zoom, brightness, ect. can take a long time. Apple Shortcuts can make commands that sets the ideal settings for certain situations.
Shortcuts could be used for extra accesability during the usage of apps.
